Tires: Preparing for the Canada trip, I was hesitant about the front tire being able to complete the 5k mile journey, so the Metzeler front tire was replaced before the trip and have kept the original for a spare. Rear tire is original.  The Tread Wear Indicators’ pictures show plenty of tread left to ride with.
Next Dealer Inspection Service Due at 12,000 miles.
Of course, everything is properly working with this bike. If it wasn't, I would have had it repaired under the BMW Factory Warranty!
This is your opportunity to buy a bike with a remaining factory warranty (+/- 100 days) and ride it as hard as you want during that time.  Not too bad for an extended “test ride”.
For what it is worth: The 800cc has very good performance.  In Maine - with their 75 MPH (recommended) speed limit on Interstates (some would say much higher on the back-roads)  - this bike had no problem entering traffic or keeping up with it.
Why Am I Selling This Bike?
I am the Original and Only owner with the majority of the miles being paved road riding.  Purchased for the “bucket list” trip to ride across Alaska by 2021.
2019 Test Run into Canada went very well with this bike but  last year's shoulder replacement surgery - along with now (unexpectedly soon) needing to replace the other one -  life is not going to let me make the Alaskan trip before the BMW factory warranty runs out at the end of the year.
Purchased as my long distance bike and have traveled  the mid-Atlantic states and up into the Canadian borders between New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Pictures include from locations throughout the  Blue Ridge and Smoky mountains, cornering on the "Dragon", the most eastern driveable point in the US (West Quoddy Point Lighthouse), View into the “Globe” south of Blowing Rock, etc.
It is time to let someone else take advantage of this Adventure bike.
If you have access to the app “Eat, Sleep, Ride” ( https://app.eatsleepride.com/ ) you can look at some of my rides under user name R100 (my long time rides have been “Airheads” so that is for my vintage R100 bike - the one for the last ride that I have recorded).  Some of the F800 rides that might be of interest to review are the multiple segment rides of 2019 October 10 (totaling 763 miles), November 9 ride that included the “Back of the Dragon” (note - my GPS was paused for a good portion - I did not “fly” the direct line that you see for a hundred or so miles), and 2020 July 20 ride where some of those I was riding with did not want to take the unpaved Mill’s Creek Road after visiting Andrew’s Geyser. The “Adventure series does have its advantages!
Additionally, in the pictures taken before last Saturday, you might notice soft-sided travel bags attached.  They are Chase-Parker bags mounted onto a plexiglass mount system that I fabricated onto the OEM BMW luggage racks that came with the bike.   This system worked well for my trips; however, not as elegant/versatile  as the hard cases that can be readily mounted/removed in seconds. (I camp on my travels, so did not need the quickly removable luggage cases to carry my luggage into a motel.) For Saturday’s pictures, I took the system off of the bike. Am very willing to include them with the bike and show the new owner how to install/remove (4 bolts each side for the mounts and Velcro strapping for the bags - takes less than 5 minutes to remove the bags and maybe 20 minutes to remove/re-install the mount if you so wanted...)
Bike is available for Buyer's inspection and Local Pick-up in Lenoir NC (Zip 28645). Additionally, I will assist in helping to arrange transport of the bike. to the Auction's Winner.
Winning Bidder will pay a 0 deposit within 48 hours of Auction's Closing.
The Remaining Balance payment with Verifiable Funds is Due Within 14 Days of the Auction's Closing and Prior to the Title Being Transferred and Possession Given to the New Owner.
Alternatively, if you wish to pay through the Escrow.com payment feature offered by eBay for this listing, let me know within 24 hours of the auction's end so we can plan for that. I will reimburse you for one-half of the fee that you have to pay for that service.
    Fly In - Ride Home
: If you fly into an area airport (Greensboro, Charlotte, and Asheville have scheduled airline service) - or take the train to Greensboro, NC -  I am willing to pick you up there and you can ride this bike home!  Plenty of very good rides - no matter which "less traveled roads" you wish to return upon.
